The aim of the procurement is to restore and improve the condition of selected ponds and wetland areas in Oslo municipality. There are several ponds in Oslo municipality that are in danger of growing again, and the restoration need increases every year. Refilling and overgrowth of ponds are the greatest threat to amphibians nationally and locally. Restoration of ponds and wetland areas will have several positive effects for other biological diversity such as aquatic plants, birds, bats, water-connected invertebrates and other invertebrates. Restoration of ponds will also contribute to climate adaptation and other eco-system services.
