In a submergence prevention perspective, there is a need to strengthen the teaching offer within self-rescue for students in the middle stage. Self-rescue, understood as competence to save themselves in water in nature, is a part of the swimming training and what students should be able according to the physical education subject ́s curriculum in LK20. Relevant competence aims in this connection are for the pupils to be able to: • Carry out founding techniques in swiming on the abdomen, on the back and under water. • assess safety in outdoor activities and carry out self-rescue in water The objective of the procurement is to give students in the intermediate stage a practical offer with outdoor training in cold water. The participating schools must also have access to resources for preliminary and post-work that can strengthen practical education. Tenderers must be able to give school employees the opportunity to develop their own competence in swimming lessons in nature, in connection with the pupil offer. The agreement comprises a course offer for students in the 5th - 7th years, which consists of a half day practical course in cold water in nature. In addition digital learning resources shall be delivered that prepare students for the course day and can be used both before and after to strengthen their professional competence.
