The University of Bergen has a local heating network at Nygårdhøyden, which supplies several of the teaching buildings with high temperature, water-borne heating. The heat is currently supplied from an energy central in Allègaten 41 the Science building with district heating from Eviny. Energy recovery is approx. 11,000,000 kWh per annum. UiB would like to establish a more environment-friendly system by converting to heat pumps that extract heat from the sea. This procurement is for the procurement of heat pumps for the energy centre, including installation, service and maintenance.
