As part of the SpreeTec neXt project ("New manufacturing technologies for components and systems in decentralized energy technology"), the Fraunhofer IAP is planning to purchase a burst test stand for quasi-static pressure testing of composite pressure vessels (mobile hydrogen storage tanks) up to the point of bursting, in particular for type IV and type V construction methods. In order to ensure that the application and industry are close to the test stand, container volumes of up to approx. 400 liters and container dimensions of up to approx. 700 mm in diameter and approx. 3000 mm in length should be tested with the burst test stand.
