The objective of the Framework Agreement is the setting up of the technological components that will allow the Common Data Stores Engine to operationalize the generation and management of ARCO (Analysis Ready, Cloud Optimized) Data and Services as extension of its portfolio of functionalities. The contract is expected to provide the technical infrastructure that will allow to extract data from its original data repositories, transform it onto ARCO formats (Data Cubes) and provide access to those via standard interfaces which allow to perform efficient and responsive discovery, navigation and visualisation of large amounts of data along the temporal and geographical dimensions. The outputs of the contract align with the FAIR principles which are broadly used in the international ecosystem to leverage the Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability and Reusability of Data and Services. As primary and main beneficiary of the project, the WEkEO platform will incorporate on its viewer portfolio C3S and CAMS datasets.
