Contract for Maintenance, breakdown labour and parts for DCC Central Laboratory Agilent mass spectrometry system

Dublin City Council has awarded a contract to Agilent Technologies Ireland Ltd for The service is maintenance, breakdown, labour and parts for two computer controlled systems of scientific equipment that are used by DCC Central laboratory to provide INAB accredited water analysis services to ISO17025. The service includes provision of spares for patented equipment/methods. This contract was awarded using derogation from purchasing procedures via Article 32.2 b) and c) The equipment supplier Agilent have provided this maintenance, breakdown, labour and parts service on an ongoing basis since the equipment was acquired by DCC. They have proved reliable and rapid in both labour and supply of parts according to the contract specification. The equipment supplier Agilent does not recommend / approve any third party companies to maintain their systems. This is continuation of service and maintenance by an original equipment supplier, which includes support for their proprietary systems such as software. This supplier does not support or approve third party maintenance Of their equipment. There is also an element of urgency for the 2026 contract because precise arrangements and support by Irish Water /Uisce Eireann through the transition from payment of this and other contracts through their SLA with DCC were not clear in time for any more comprehensive procurement. The value of this contract is €32,275.32.
