Production and Coordination Services for Creative Places Baltinglass for the Arts Office of Wicklow County Council. Local Tender Reference Number: WCC352025. Wicklow County Council is seeking Tender Applications from individuals or companies who are in a position to implement and support the delivery of the third phase of the Creative Places Baltinglass Programme from 2025 – 2027. There is an identified strategic two year plan for this work for CPB which grounds the intention for the delivery of this Tender process. WCC is seeking through this Tender a skilled person (or persons) to Coordinate this third phase, working in partnership with WCC Arts Office, other specialist personnel appointed for services such as evaluation or curation, members of West Wicklow Interagency Group, other partner organisations from the voluntary and community sector, local artists and the people who live and work in Baltinglass. The successful party will produce and coordinate a culturally diverse and inclusive programme within Baltinglass which will capitalise on the work of Creative Places to date, following the identified two year plan and will increasingly embed the programme in the town supporting legacy and sustainability. The services required will involve on the ground consultation, management of project delivery and meeting in Baltinglass as well as desk work and research. Meetings at the Arts Office central base in Bray will be occasionally required. In summary this service will involve the successful party working from their own base as well as working on the ground as requried. This service is one of three services for Creative Places Baltinglass, and it will run alongside an evaluation contract and other supporting professional development/curatorial services engaged by Wicklow County Council. The Creative Places Programme is an initiative of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíonn. It is a grant based opportunity for places that have historically had low levels of arts investment to build local arts programmes with local people and artists, who can benefit from this sustained strategic investment. There are now 19 locations in Ireland that have received Creative Places investment. The programmes reach into the community to explore, discuss and plan a range of brilliant creative and participatory projects for local people to take part in and enjoy. Creative Places initiatives are also supporting artists to develop their socially engaged practice and engagement abilities. The approach is inclusive and diverse and rooted in socially engaged arts practice and community development principles. In Baltinglass the Creative Places project builds on existing cultural strengths and is led by community participation and ideas and supported by artists. The Arts Council-led programme is underpinned by commitments in its Making Great Art Work 2016–2025 strategy and in the Place, Space and People Spatial Strategy.
