Customer Support Service for the ECHA Information Desk

The purpose of the contract is to provide external resources for the ECHA Information Desk, which is the first point of contact for enquiries arriving at the Agency, whether by phone, postal mail or via the contact forms on the website. ECHA operates an Information Desk service from 09:00-18:00 during the working days. Most of the work for the Information Desk staff involves the registering, “encoding” and distributing of questions arriving at the Agency. The service includes staffing the ECHA switchboard between 09:00 and 18:00 every working day. The Information Desk is responsible for the registration and dispatch of postal mail, and it also coordinates all initial requests for an ECHA employee to speak at an external event.
