dbus-broker-Project
Description du marché
The dbus-broker project is an implementation of a message bus as defined by the D-Bus specification, which provides a communication platform to machinelocal applications. Its aim is to provide high performance and reliability, while keeping compatibility to the D-Bus reference implementation. It is exclusively written for Linux systems, and makes use of many modern features provided byrecent Linux kernel releases. While compatibility to existing D-Bus implementations is crucial, there are several situations where dbus-broker deviates from existing practices, and provides its own solutions. The D-Bus protocol defines how processes can communicate and exchange arbitrary application-defined information. It is the standard communication mechanism on all prevalent Linux distributions, as well as many custom-tailored Linux-based systems. It is used by core Linux system components (including systemd, network-manager, polkit) as well as many desktop environments (including GNOME, KDE) to expose, and call, application interfaces and emit, and subscribe to, notifications. The dbus-broker project provides the default D-Bus implementation for all systems from Red Hat, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Arch Linux, as well as their derivatives, and several non-public systems (and it is available as option for all Debian based systems). Compared to the D-Bus reference implementation, dbus-broker provides significant improvements in performance, scalability, and security and eliminates a range of long-standing deficiencies.
