Isavia has concluded this Procurement to select an experienced airport travel duty-free operator as Concessionaire to operate Duty-Free Stores at KEF, this being the first time the Duty-Free Stores at KEF have been taken to the market. Isavia was seeking to enter into a true partnership with an operator who can deliver all the key facets that Isavia believes are the hallmarks of a world-class duty-free operator. Isavia foresees further growth and development of the Duty-Free Stores at KEF, by continuing to offer good service, trending products, competitive prices, and attractive customer experience, including a compelling and unique execution of a traditional core-category duty-free concept that reflects KEF’s position as the largest gateway into Iceland. The Opportunity currently comprises of the KEF Duty-Free Stores; • departures Duty-Free Store in the main terminal; • a recently refurbished arrivals Duty-Free Store; and • a transfer Duty-Free Store in the non-Schengen area. In addition, the Concessionaire will receive the use of a bonded warehouse (approx. 1600 sqm) located on KEF property, a storage (approx. 154 sqm) for the arrivals Duty-Free store which is in the East Wing and accessible from landside area and a storage (approx. 140 sqm) for the departures Duty-Free store, located airside. The duration of the Contract is eight (8) years, with optional extension of one (1) plus one (1) years.
