In autumn 2023 a procurement of lung function equipment was carried out for Nytt sykehus Drammen. Diacor AS was the winner of this tender contest. The lung function equipment that is delivered is to be connected to a central database with connection to DIPS. The ICT service that is established in this connection is coordinated with all the hospitals in Vestre Viken Helseforetak. Drammen Hospital has special departments and has area function for all the hospitals in Vestre Viken HF. It is therefore important that all the hospitals in Vestre Viken are on the same ICT platform. In general ICT systems are comprehensive and costly to establish. There will be considerable resources to run the services after the establishment. It has therefore been decided that the health company shall not have double services within the same discipline. Our assessment is that any new tender competition for lung function equipment for Bærum, Ringerike and Kongsberg hospitals will not add any additional value as equipment from the tenderer cannot use the ICT service that is now established in the health company. Vestre Viken Helseforetak announces, with this, the procurement of lung function equipment for Bærum, Ringerike and Kongsberg hospital from Diacor AS.
