Expansion of the industrial quay

The contracting authority needs to enter into a turnkey contract for an expansion of the industrial quay. The measure has been taken up as a result of grants from the Norwegian Coastal Administration in the scheme for "grants for investment in efficient and environmentally friendly ports", the contractor must contribute so that the Contracting Authority complies with the terms stipulated in the grant. The expansion shall be in the extension of the existing industrial quay and be in equivalent execution. The area in question is to extend the south side of the existing industrial quay at Strandgata 151, 4307 Sandnes. The project includes expansion of the industrial quay facility in order to increase capacity at the port and it shall be facilitated to make land current available to ships that are docked. The expansion will take place at the same time as ordinary operations at the quay facility. Work that is intended to be included in the contract: Facilitate piling through existing pitching. The builder has estimated ramming 27 friction piles, estimated to approx. 60 metres per pile, total approx. 1600 metres pile. The piles shall have a capacity of recording vertical forces of approx. 5,000 kN per pile. Piles shall be settled per meter from the theoretical cutting height. - Demolition of the existing dykdalb. - Anchoring of a new quay cover in the existing quay and at the rear of the new quay for shooting horizontal forces. - Develop a new quay with conduits, manholes etc. - Assembly of crane rails in the new quay cover, which is by extension of the existing crane rails. Progress: The project has flexible start-up date and the construction period is estimated to be approx. seven (7) months. The contracting authority has a deadline from the Norwegian Coastal Administration that the project shall be completed and final reported by 30 November 2025. The final report shall include the project accounts confirmed by the auditor that shows that the project was carried out in accordance with the grant letter. The tenderer ́s final deadline is 31 October 2025. The contractor stated even when the construction period shall start, but engineering design services and public case handling must be taken into consideration.
