Feasibility Study - VSC-HVDC Transformer This Project outlines and promotes the concept of the TenneT Offshore Subsea Transformer, an innovation that technically simplifies and downsizes conventional offshore converter platforms in order to realize cost savings, among other things. The main innovation is the spatial relocation of components for offshore grid connection systems to the seabed. In the future, the TenneT Offshore Subsea Transformer could complement the new 2GW standard to further accelerate the offshore grid expansion. The reason for this tender is the awarding of several feasibility studies in preparation for a potential development of offshore subsea transformers and its affiliated components. Because TenneT is a regulated company, European procurement law is applicable. Therefore, TenneT is committed to a fair and transparent procurement process and encourages these fundamental principles, in particular equal treatment of all bidders and fair competition. The Procedure Guidelines contain a detailed description of the entire award procedure. It also defines the rules that the tenderers must follow. The aim of the contracting authority is to identify the most economical tender in the course of the award procedure and to award the contract to the tenderer concerned. Within this document, the criteria according to which the most economical offer is determined are defined and described.
