Ground map for use in nature accounts - validation of the eco-system types

The Norwegian Environment Agency intends to enter into contracts with the Norwegian Institute for Bioeconomy (NIBIO), the Norwegian Institute for Natural Research (NINA) and The Norwegian Mapping Authority to validate the Ground Map for use in natural accounts as regards the ecosystem type properties in the map and assess whether the connection to ecosystem types gives the desired result and is optimised with regard to the data basis. The contract has a clear predominance of expert assessments in development work (the ground chart for use in area accounts - ecosystem division). The work requires insight into the processes and specially adapted expertise, and falls under § 2-5 in the Public Procurement Regulations on exceptions for contracts for research and development services. The main product from the assignment is report(s), where assessments and recommendations are compiled. The report/e will be publicly available and shall be used as a background for assessments of the next phase of the Ground Map work. This is an intention notice in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations § 21-5 and § 25-3 with a 10 day deadline calculated from the day after this notice has been published. The contracting authority will not enter into a contract until 11 days after publication at the earliest.
