Sør-Fron municipality and Nord-Fron municipality intend to sign a contract with Veterinærvakta Fron AS for the procurement of veterinary services for Nord-Fron and Sør-Fron duty districts for two years, with an option for 1+1 year. FOA § 5-2 a) it is assumed that this contract is allowed without a new competition because it is only Veterinary duty Fron AS who can take on this assignment and is therefore published as an intention notice cf. FOA § 8-18. The municipality has previously examined with other veterinary surgeons in the area who do not wish to take this on. For safeguarding veterinary services for Nord-Fron and Sør-Fron duty districts, a sum equivalent to the annual government subsidy for veterinary duty services is paid. The government subsidy amounts to NOK 924,959,533 per year, divided between NOK 924,640 in duty grants and NOK 34,913 in administration grants. In addition to the annual shift subsidy, NOK 980,000 is paid, divided between NOK 480,000 per municipality. This amount is regulated in the agreement period in accordance with indexation of the government subsidy. The contract will be valid from 01.01.2025 and it will be valid for 2 years with an option for 1+1 year. The deadline for objections is 01.10.2024, 12:00.
