Internet services for new CEPOL headquarters in BIF tower

At present CEPOL has three offices: Headquarters in O utca 27, office in Aradi u. 8-10 and office at NOK ICT Boszormenyi utca 21. By the end of 2024 CEPOL will move to the headquarters located at the BIF Tower Ulloi utca 114-118. The move to the new headquarters will require to combine all 3 offices into one single space. This consolidation necessitates a significant upgrade in ICT services to effectively support the new headquarters. Justification for launching the new procedure The technical specifications under the existing framework contract are inadequate to meet the needs of the new BIF Tower office. The amalgamation of the existing offices into the new headquarters creates a demand for significantly higher internet bandwidth that for what the current contract's provisions were signed. Despite the validity and remaining ceiling of the current framework contract, it lacks the flexibility required to accommodate these enhanced services through a new specific contract. This situation necessitates the establishment of a new technical specification tailored to the unique requirements of the BIF Tower's infrastructure. Proposed solution A new procurement procedure should be initiated, aimed at securing an internet service that meets the expanded needs of the new office layout and increased user base, effective from 1st of November 2024. This approach ensures that the necessary services are in place promptly ahead of the move while allowing the existing internet services to remain active until the end of December 2024. Post this period, the specific contract pertaining to the old Headquarters can be terminated.
