Invasive plant eradication in Glenveagh National Park
Description du marché
Glenveagh National Park contains a number of invasive plant species which pose a threat to sensitive habitats such as blanket bog, heaths and woodlands. As part of the park’s Invasive Species Management Plan (2024-2028) areas of the park containing invasive species have been identified and divided into manageable blocks. This tender process is for the clearance of invasive species in a selection of these blocks over a five-year period. The successful contractor is expected to have the block cleared of flowering plants by the end of the 2nd year to inhibit the reseeding cycle. Over the subsequent three years the contractor is expected to clear the entire block of all invasive plants.
