Invitation to tender for a cyclotron

Åbo Akademi University and University of Turku, intend to purchase a cyclotron to the Accelerator Laboratory, Turku PET Centre (TPC), for the production of various radionuclides used mainly for labelling of tracers used in Positron Emission Tomography (PET). The cyclotron will be installed by the Tenderer into a ready built vault situated in the basement of Turku PET Centre, Kiinamyllynkatu 4-8, Turku Building 14 (see Annex 1 and Annex 2). The cyclotron must fulfill the obligatory criteria, as described in this invitation to tender. The final decision will be based on the most advantageous tender using the following criteria: Total costs, technical specifications, software compatibility and utility of the device, max 100 points. The tender shall include prices for a cyclotron system offered as a configuration without target vessels, but including pressure transducers and necessary valves for filling/emptying a minimum of three target vessels. The price shall also include helium cooling system and target changers if applicable. Further, the tender shall include prices for a cyclotron system as described above, but also including one F-18 target vessel. Finally, the tender shall include prices for a cyclotron system as described above, but including one F-18 target vessel and two C-11 target vessels, (for [11C]CO2 and for [11C]CH4 production). Presentation of the premises The Contracting authorities organises an open presentation of the premises to all interested Tenderers. The purpose of the presentation is to give opportunity to observe any factors that might have significant or less significant role for Tenderers in making their offers. The presentation shall take place at the address Kiinamyllynkatu 4-8, Building 14, Turku, Finland, on the 12th of May 2025 starting at 9:00 am. Participants shall inform their intensions and quantity of participating persons by email to upphandling@abo.fi on the 9th of May 2025 at latest. Any questions arising out of or during presentation and concerning the premises shall be made or/and documented in written form and sent to the Supplier Portal. All answers will be delivered in the Supplier Portal.
