To ensure an efficient and collaborative process in developing an updated National State of the Environment and Outlook Report for Malawi, GRID-Arendal is seeking the services of a reputable local institution to support UNEP and GRID-Arendal. The local partner is expected to bring scientific expertise, local presence and support to the Malawi National State of the Environment and Outlook process by providing technical and administrative to the project. Principal Responsibilities/tasks Provide administrative support to GRID-Arendal and UNEP in the conduct of local workshops and facilitation of local payments, including: o Handling funds for local expenses of the Malawi National State of the Environment and Outlook; o Securing and paying for workshop venues (three workshops are planned for with average participation of 70-100 people); and o Paying costs of participants to the workshops, including Daily Subsistence Allowances and reimbursements for transport costs; Provide technical inputs into the Malawi National State of the Environment and Outlook through o Participating and making contributions in all local workshops o Reviewing all chapter materials of the Malawi National State of the Environment and Outlook.
