As part of the ‘MainNetzausbau’ grid expansion programme, TenneT TSO GmbH plans to construct new 380 kV high-voltage lines south of Frankfurt am Main. Due to the complex spatial conditions, sections of the high-voltage lines in this area will be constructed as underground cable tunnels, which must be accessible to maintenance staff for operational reasons. A vehicle system and/or vehicles are required for use within the tunnel tubes to perform inspection and maintenance work. The goal of this market survey is to gain a comprehensive overview of technical solutions for vehicle systems and vehicles for use in cable tunnels that are available on the market or will likely be available in the foreseeable future. The contracting authority, TenneT TSO GmbH, hereby invites all potential and interested market participants to participate in the market survey and to provide information on the current market situation and on suitable vehicle systems. The market survey is solely intended to prepare for a potential future procurement project and does not constitute an allocation procedure.
