Market Dialogue regarding The Third Limfjord Link - Fjord Crossing and Major Bridges

The Danish Road Directorate hereby invites interested contractors and suppliers to take part in a preliminary market dialogue regarding the Third Limfjord Link. The market dialogue is limited to the section of the motorway crossing Egholm, including the tunnel south of Egholm, the low bridges north of Egholm, and the Valley Bridge over Østerådal. South of Egholm, the Egholm Tunnel will be constructed — an approximately 2 km long tunnel structure that will carry the motorway beneath the Limfjord’s navigation channel, which is at least 100 metres wide and 10 metres deep. From Egholm, the motorway continues northeast in a straight alignment across Nørredyb via two low bridges and proceeds between Aalborg Airport and Nørresundby on an embankment. The Egholm alignment runs elevated above the terrain north of the Limfjord. North of Egholm, the motorway will cross the northern branch of the Limfjord, Nørredyb, via two low bridges, each approximately 600 metres in length. The Valley Bridge will carry the Egholm alignment across the Østerådal, the double-track railway (Aarhus – Aalborg), and a recreational path. The bridge is situated and designed to function both as a wildlife crossing in the valley and to provide space for the recreational pathway passing beneath it. Ahead of the tendering process for the construction works, the Danish Road Directorate seeks the market’s assessment of the procurement and contract conditions, as well as construction methodology. In particular, the Directorate is interested in the market’s views on the subdivision of tenders for the construction works.
