This Contract Award Notice is acting as a Modification Notice under Article 72 of 2014/24/EU to RFT ID 188103 - Contract for the maintenance, servicing, repair and ticket replenishment of on street pay and display parking machines within the Dublin City Council Area published on the previous eTenders system, prior to the introduction of new TED eForms. This contract is for maintenance, servicing, repair and ticket replenishment of 485 solar powered Pay & Display parking machines located on street in the Dublin City Council Area. The contract includes all repairs necessitated as a result of vandalism, theft or attempted theft, and the collection of audit tickets as required. All repair records will be made available to evaluate the level of repairs that may be required. Dublin City Council requires a modification to this contract under Articl;e 72.1(b) and wishes to extend the contract by a further 1 year. The value of the modification required is €400,000. The services to be provided under the extension remain within the scope of the original contract.T his extension is necessary for additional services by the original contractor that have become necessary and that were not included in the initial procurement where a change of contractor: cannot be made for economic or technical reasons such as requirements of interchangeability or interoperability with existing equipment, services or installations procured under the initial procurement; and would cause significant inconvenience or substantial duplication of costs for the contracting authority. Dublin City Council is modifying this contract on the grounds contained in Article 72 (1) (b) for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor that have become necessary and that were not included in the initial procurement when a change of contractor: (i) cannot be made for economic or technical reasons such as requirements of interchangeability or interoperability with existing equipment's services or installations procured under the initial procurement and (ii) would cause significant inconvenience or substantial duplication of cost for the contracting authority. However any increase in price shall not exceed 50% of the value of the original contract. Were several successive modifications are made that limitation shall apply to the value of each modification. Such consecutive modifications shall not be aimed at circumventing this Directive. Dublin City Council confirms the value of this modification does not exceed 50%
