The competition is for the delivery of electricity to Søndre Follo Treatment Plant IKS. SFR ́s consumption of energy/electricity varies based on the amount of sewage water into the treatment plant. Normally, total consumption varies from 1.4 million kWh to 2.0 million kWt based on rainfall in the region. The more precipitation the more water and pump. SFR produces electricity itself with its own turbines and solar panels, with an estimate of produced electricity varying from 200,000kWh to 500,000 kWh per annum based on the available amount of biogas and sunny days. SFR reckons that consumption will decline in the next few years. The total volume is thereby only estimates and is not binding for the contracting authority as several variables affect the total consumption per annum.
