Lærdal municipality shall, in cooperation with Lærdal Elveeigarlag and Østfold Energi (regulatory), carry out inspections and measures in Lærdalselvi to take care of fish. Lausmassar from Tynjadalen can have negative consequences in Lærdalselvi. The project involves a pilot project for removing fine matter from the river bot and adjusting the water-ready existing basin where the fine material host is removed. The adjustments are planned to be for the hydraulic generators. The goal is to increase the area for hiding, growing up and spawning by removing fine matter that seals the river bot.
