Procurement of a sign management system for Utekontroll
Description du marché
The objective of the procurement is to select vehicles on roads with the help of sensor technology and data, and then use active signage to call in individual vehicles to the inspection site. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration has experience with systems that can receive data on vehicles with a high control value from our vehicle and vehicle registration system, and based on these igniting signs in short pulses only when the desired vehicle passes signs. This also contributes to more targeted control activities by calling in only the vehicles requested to be inspected. Different control stations are often set up with signs of different standards and from different suppliers. A system is therefore required for controlling signs and sign areas that can communicate with different models and types of signs, as well as with local sensors. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration would now like to procure a standardised system for controlling signs, sensor units and connections between them, which can be used at all of the agency's control stations. This shall be a national system that can be used in an unlimited number of locations at The Norwegian Public Roads Administration. The system is expected to be used at approx. 10 locations in the first 5 year period.
