Procurement of transport services

The service shall consist of complete transport services from the actual recycling station to the stated reception address, including return transport of empty containers. Hook containers and hook compressors are costly and kept by the Contracting Authority. Net weight for transported waste per container will normally be from 3 tons up to 10 tons depending on the waste type. If possible, the waste types will be compressed by the Contracting Authority and pressed in the container in order to achieve a larger payload. Return transport is normally empty transport of containers. The contracting authority shall, however, be able to manage the assignment in such a way that if the contract ́s intention and intention is maintained, return transport shall be carried out "by agreement". In low season (October - March), experience sub-assignments have been carried out with five to seven vehicles. There is a need for a further 3-4 vehicles in high season (April - September). Tenderers must therefore take into account sufficient back-up capacity for peak season. Samnanger, Vaksdal, Kvam and Fusa recycling station have elevated cleansing in relation to route choices (tunnels). The tenderer must take into account such logistics planning, cf. the execution and return of containers. BIR has a separate transport system that is used for setting up transports and collections. This transport system has one available API that the tenderer can extract information about the transport. All invoices received by BIR shall include the transport ́s order number and any references connected to the transport. This information can either be obtained from BIR's transport system via the API, or it must be carried on the call-offs/invoices manually by the tenderer. Details on the individual assignment and minimum information related to waste type, sender, recipient, weight, price, date shall be made available digitally and/or sent to the contracting authority in excel format per month, with reference to invoice. Hand terminals/PDA's will be loaned free of charge and free training will be provided in the use of the system.
