Joomla! is a free, open-source content management system used to create and manage websites and web applications; it is used worldwide by public authorities, educational institutions and cultural organisations, for example. The contract covers various milestones, including among other things the research and development of an improved, accessibility-focused system architecture for an established software platform, as well as the design and validation of new methods, processes and quality controls to improve usability, maintainability and long-term compliance with modern accessibility standards across the entire platform, in order to strengthen usability, trustworthiness and robustness in the public interest.
