Renovation of Frognerbadet

Oslobygg KF has been given the task of the City Council Department for Culture and Business to rehabilitate Frognerbadet. Frognerbadet consists of an outdoor pool area including a 50 metre swimming pool, diving tower, padded pool, as well as a family pool. The operational building and the main entrance consist of an employee area, kiosk and cafe with serving. In order to ensure the possibility of extended seasons, a climatised corridor shall be established to connect the deterrents to the pool area. The impending renovation aims at returning several of the original architectonic solutions and elements to its former splendour, but with upgraded technical solutions for the next 50 years. The site is protected and the Cultural Heritage Management Office shall follow the project in the detailed and construction phase. Frognerbadet shall be rehabilitated with all the public, employee and support functions and the accompanying technical installations connected to the basins and buildings.
