Request For Information - Relining Gas Pipelines
Description du marché
RFI: Through this market consultation, Alliander explicitly seeks to assess to what extent market parties are able to meet the required safety, quality and organizational conditions for relining of gas pipelines. Background Within the Dutch gas distribution network, a substantial number of pipelines are made of grey cast iron. Due to ageing-related integrity risks and regulatory requirements, these pipelines must be remediated. Traditionally, this remediation is performed by open trench replacement. In densely populated areas, open trench replacement often results in significant societal disruption, long execution times and complex interaction with other underground infrastructure. In such situations, Alliander applies relining as a trenchless alternative renovation technique. Relining is a method whereby an existing gas pipeline is internally renovated by installing a liner inside the original pipe. After installation and curing, the liner forms a new, gas-tight pipeline within the existing pipe, restoring structural integrity and extending the technical lifetime of the asset.
