VR-Yhtymä Oyj / VR Group Plc starts with this request for information/market survey concerning the procurement of shunting locomotives for VR Group Plc's. This is an advance notice involving a survey of the market and potential suppliers. This notice is not a call for tenders. Replying or failing to reply to this advance notice does not preclude participation in any call for tenders. The information given in this notice is preliminary and subject to change as the preparations proceed. The notice is not binding in any way. The notice includes a request for interested parties to send their contact details and technical product information by 9 of November 2024 at the latest to kimmo.vuorela@vr.fi using the subject “Shunting locomotives”. This market research is only used to obtain information about the locomotives. Basic technical requirements: - Wheelset shall be suitable for Finnish 1524 mm gauge - The locomotives can be hybrid powered locomotives or diesel electric locomotives (DE). Biodiesel is preferred in possible diesel-powered solutions. Possible electrical solutions must be compatible with Finnish 25 kV / 50 Hz supply system. VR Group Oyj is also interested in solutions based on hydrogen, batteries and other sustainable solutions. - Single operation around with 2500 tn train weight - Double operation (2 locomotives) around with 4700 tn train weigh - Locomotive shall be used actively with Radio Remote Control - The operating temperature class shall be T2 (-40…+35 C º) - Main operating area is shunting yards and tracks with no electricity - On-board ETCS/STM Level 2 installed - Top speed around 120 km/h - Weight shall be at least 22 t for each axle
