RFI: Main Equipment for Hydrogen Transmission Network Construction Projects (Onshore & Offshore)

We at Gasgrid Vetyverkot Oy (Hydrogen Networks Ltd) are the Finnish gas TSO and network operator responsible for gas transmission. Our task is to provide Finnish industry and companies with safe, reliable and cost-effective gas transmission. We safeguard Finland's security of supply and energy independence. Mandated by the Finnish government, we are building a national, cross-border hydrogen infrastructure. Our goal is to connect a large percentage of Finland’s industrial customers to this infrastructure by 2030. To support our strategy and to reach our goal, we are currently creating a contracting strategy for the implementation of the projects and therefore invite you to join the cooperation with us. To gather firsthand market understanding and to recognize the relevant suppliers, we are launching a Sourcing Initiative to: - Provide market with the information on our projects - Identify the relevant geographical market and confirm the interest by getting in contact with the key market operators - Ensure H2 readiness (when relevant) - Identify the relevant sustainability efforts - Identify potential of innovation initiatives - Understand market's preferred contractual scheme At this stage, we are particularly interested in dialogue with main equipment suppliers and main contractors for both onshore and offshore pipelines and compressor stations. If your interest arouses, please contact procurement@gasgrid.fi with a subject "Sourcing Study" latest by 22.08.2025 to get more information: Annex 1 on the scope of Sourcing Initiative and Annex 2 on Supplier Basic Data and Reference Info. Please fill in and complete the requested data in Annex 2 and return it to us soonest with a representation of your best fit reference deliveries. We will review the information submitted (aka applications) by the end of September and contact each supplier after that. Our intention is to invite 15-20 suppliers to market dialogue starting autumn 2025. The market dialogues aim to improve the understanding of the needs of the Gasgrid (the Client), the capabilities and capacities of the suppliers, and to potentially foster innovation and better procurement outcomes. However, please note that the participation in the market dialogues will neither in any way affect participation in the actual tendering procedures nor any selection of suppliers in those. For the sake of clarity, the Contracting Authority will not reimburse the supplier for any costs that may incur as a result of this RFI. Also, this RFI does not obligate the Contracting Authority to put the actual services out to competitive tendering.
