VR Group Plc starts with this request for information a market survey concerning passenger trains for VR Group’s operations in Sweden. This is a notice involving only a survey of the market. This notice is not a call for tenders and not a part of any official procurement procedure. Replying or failing to reply to this notice does not preclude participation in any procurement procedure. The information given in this notice is preliminary and subject to change as the preparations proceed. The notice is not binding in any way. This market research is only used to obtain information about the passenger trains. Basic requirements: •Wheelset shall be suitable for European 1435 mm gauge •Shall comply with all relevant TSIs and national technical rules in Sweden •Shall comply with the current signaling systems in Sweden and shall have capability for operation on ETCS track •Speed range shall be 200-250 km/h: multiple options with different speed categories would be appreciated •Seat capacity shall be 250-500 •Shall be possible to equip with restaurant car / bistro area •May include couple different travelling classes •Different technical solutions are appreciated (EMU / locomotive + passenger wagons + steering car)
