The Supply of Seven Intercranial Monitors

Beaumont Hospital intends to purchase seven intercranial pressure monitors (ICP monitors) from Infusion Healthcare. For clinical reasons, and in order to ensure optimum treatment outcomes on behalf of its patient cohort, Beaumont Hospital requires ICP monitors that can measure intercranial pressure and can also measure PbtO2 and PRx. It is imperative that these values can be obtained from a single probe. Beaumont Hospital is satisfied that only the Raumedic NeuroSmart device, supplied by Infusion Healthcare, is capable of fulfilling these requirements. Consequently, in accordance with Article 32(2)(b)(ii) of Directive 2014/24/EU, competition is absent for technical reasons and the award of this contract to Infusion Healthcare without a competitive process is permitted by the procurement regulations.
