The third phase of the construction of Urridaholt School

Urridaholts School is a new School for children in the age of 6 to 15 and part of the building is a kindergarten for children in the age of 1 to 6. The building has two floors and a basement. The second phase of the building has just been completed. The third phase includes extra classrooms, gymnasium and indoor swimming pool along with associated rooms as locker rooms, technical rooms and etc. Phase three is a continuation of the second phase and is consistent with the first and second phases regarding architecture and construction solutions. The main structural parts, walls, slabs and roof, are made of cast-in-place concrete. The walls are isolated from the outside and mainly covered with aluminum sheets but partly with timber. The roof is flat and isolated and covered with membrane and grass. The aim is to obtain Breeam certification for the building. Earthworks for the third phase have been partially completed. The total floor area of the 3rd phase of Urriðaholt School is 3,800 m2. The main quantities for the construction of the structural part of the third phase of the building are: • Forms for cast-in-place concrete: 13.136 m2 • Rebars: 249.195 kg • Concrete: 2.245 m3 The last day of delivery is 17th of April 2026.
