Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) wish to invite contractors to participate in a preliminary market sounding associated with the Procurement of New Light Rail Power and Systems Technologies. TII is currently conducting a market consultation exercise in relation to the market’s perspective on various light rail procurement strategies for renewals and expansion projects. In addition, TII wish to gain insight into the latest trends and developments within the light rail power and systems disciplines. This is to aid TII in making future decisions regarding the replacement, enhancement, and expansion of the existing Luas power and control systems. TII intends to purchase state-of-the-art light rail power and systems technology in the coming years, suitable for the current and future light-rail networks in Ireland. TII would like to understand the latest technological and delivery developments, R and D developments and emerging trends for products that the market will offer regarding the relevant technologies set out in the Market Consultation Questionnaire which is attached to the PMC Workspace for this consultation on eTenders ( https://www.etenders.gov.ie/epps/pmc/viewPmc.do?resourceId=5514601&ceproc.msg.confirm=prompt.create.pmc.success ). The aim of this market consultation is to gather information and provide interested parties with background information on the intended nature, structure, and scope of TII’s requirements.
