Uitnodiging marktconsultatie 'Buisvijzel: innovatieve sleutel tot duurzaam waterbeheer?' van DMOW
Description du marché
Register for the market consultation ‘The tubular screw pump as an innovative key to sustainable water management’! VLAIO, Department of Mobility and Public Works and Verhaert invite you to the market consultation for the project Tubular screw pump as innovative key for sustainable water management?. This consultation will take place online on June 23th from 1pm to 4:30pm. What's the purpose? To ensure that the large-scale renovation of aging Flemish pumping stations is carried out in an energy-efficient and fish-friendly manner, the Department of Mobility and Public Works aims to address knowledge gaps regarding the behavior of closed screw pumps under fluctuating water levels. The focus is on flow behavior as a function of the fill level, with field observations showing that the nominal flow rate is only achieved around the optimal fill level and decreases at higher water levels, possibly due to internal water and air fluctuations. To gain the necessary market insights for a successful tender, we organize an online market consultation. We invite the international screw conveyor, hydraulic engineering, CFD, and academic research communities to join us in reviewing the project’s parameters and assessing the feasibility of the performance requirements. The market consultation will take place via a half-day interactive online session on June 23, 2026. Afterward, you will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise in a one-on-one meeting. Who are we looking for? In this project, we aim to integrate pump design, structural inlet geometry, and complex fluid dynamics; therefore, we are seeking consortia or individual partners in the following fields: • Screw pump manufacturers and engineers with specific experience in closed-impeller pump systems (with fixed or rotating casings, made of steel or composite materials). • CFD experts and knowledge centers specializing in advanced, transient multi-phase flow fluid simulations (air-water interactions and vortices). • Hydraulic engineers and large contractors (integrators) with experience in civil engineering renovations of pumping stations and providing system guarantees at the interface between the structural work and the pump. • Ecological consultants and researchers in the field of fish passages and migration validation. Both parties with proven market solutions and R&D professionals are welcome. Since we expect some technical depth in this session, we ask that your organization be represented by R&D managers, systems engineers, or business developers. Practicalities The market consultation will take place on June 23th from 1pm to 4:30pm through an interactive online meeting. Participation is of course free, but registration is required. Registration is possible until June 16th.
