Service contract for the technical support of the expansion of the national waterway management systems (WAMS) and the transnational waterway monitoring system (WAMOS 2.0), including the pilot evaluation of these software applications: The national Waterway Management Systems (WAMS) support the waterway administrations of Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania in the economically and ecologically optimal use of waterways. The transnational Waterway Monitoring System (WAMOS) collects and processes hydrological and hydrographic data of the waterways of selected Danube riparian states (Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania) in a web-based system. The system was developed as part of FAIRway Danube (http://www.fairwaydanube.eu/) from 2017 and has been in operation since fall 2019. The system is based on the open source software gemma and is operated in a data center in Germany. The subject of the service contract will be the technical support for the extension of the national waterway management systems (WAMS) and the software implementation of the new functions for WAMOS 2.0 (Transnational Waterway Monitoring System), as well as the pilot evaluation of the national and transnational systems (WAMS and WAMOS 2.0). This contract consists of the following sub-areas: 1. the technical support to the work package leader, the Romanian Waterway Administration AFDJ and the national coordinators in the extension of the national waterway management systems (WAMS) in Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and Bulgaria. This area also includes project reporting and participation in meetings including presentation of status reports and documentation of results towards the work package leader and the project management of FAIRway Danube II. 2. technical support for the software implementation of the new functions for WAMOS 2.0 including monitoring of software implementation and acceptance testing, technical definition and monitoring of change requests, review of data and contributions of project partners and technical clarification regarding standards, specifications of interfaces. 3. pilot evaluation of the national waterway management systems (WAMS) and the trans-national waterway monitoring system (WAMOS 2.0) until the end of the project, probably by 31.12.2027. This includes a detailed definition of the evaluation concept, the evaluation of the results, in particular with regard to the quality and timeliness of the data provided by the partners to WAMOS, and the preparation of recommendations for the further development of all systems after the end of FAIRway Danube II.
